OUR VISION FOR THE OVERALL HOPE RETREAT GLOBAL MINISTRY
HOPE RETREAT GLOBAL MINISTRY exists to plant praying communities centered around the Presence of Jesus throughout the earth.
Our approach to beliefs centers around one main belief, the person Jesus Christ. Through that Person, His statements, and His actions we interpret and conclude all other beliefs.
That said, below are some of our core beliefs.
Salvation – Salvation is a free gift that comes from God through belief in Jesus’ finished work on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. Salvation is freedom from the power of sin & death for body, soul, & spirit (Romans 1:16; Ephesians 2:8-9).
The Bible – It is God’s word to man. It is living and active. It is inspired, infallible, and authoritative (Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
Jesus Christ – Jesus is the Messiah prophesied, the one and only God, in the exact representation of God, fully human and fully God. He was born from a virgin, lived a sinless life, and He died and rose again to reconcile all people to God and to free them from the power of sin and the devil. He will return again to reign over His Kingdom (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38; Romans 9:5; Titus 2:13).
Sin – Sin was introduced into mankind through Adam, the first man. His sin enslaved the world and mankind to the power of the devil. All of mankind has sinned and the penalty is death, separation from God. Jesus Christ, God’s son, paid the penalty of sin to reconcile mankind to God. Everyone who repents and trusts in Jesus for forgiveness of sin is forgiven and free from the curse of sin and death (Romans 5:12-21, 6:23; Ephesians 2:1-5).
First and foremost our vision is to maintain our success ratio of our “Recovery Program” of 80% and to continue to fine tune the program to an even greater success, and then duplicate in 5 distinct regions of the country and then around the world.
The main reason for our ambition is number one, we serve a GREAT GOD! Secondly, we have a program that works very well for both recovery from addictions as well as complete healing for those diagnosed with a mental illness, even serious mental illness, our 80% success of recovery rate. This is unheard of in the mental health industry!
With 95% of all crime being attached to addictions and mental illness, isn’t it high time that someone to begin healing some of these people?
At our ranch in Sneedville Tennessee we have at present three homes on the property, a main house which serves all the meals and is also available throughout the day as a day room for group counseling, movies, and entertainment & relaxation between studies. We can also accommodate four residents here in the Main house. There is also a office in Main House for all individual counseling.
We have two additional homes which each can accommodate 8 residents in a home atmosphere, which gives us the capacity of housing a total of 20 residents.
Our vision here at the Ranch is to ultimately build out an additional 25 cabins where each will house eight residents serving all the states which actually touch the State of Tennessee and Florida.
We already have our own Church, Hope Universal Life Church of Disciples of CHRIST. It is a Church for those who do not like going to Church, these are broken people who are not comfortable in most Churches and most Churches are not really comfortable with our type of cliental, at least not real receptive to them. These people actually just don't feel like they belong in most Churches.
Our Vision which is part of our very next event. That is to build on the property along the Big Creek Road line a new Church building to serve our Church needs as well as having a wing off the main building to use as a de-tox facility and a shelter for the homeless during winter months housing 12 men and 12 women and women with children.
This Church building will be a two story structure, or tall one story on a basement. It is Our Vision to build with a structure that may be built with a 12/12 pitch roof to accommodate offices and training rooms in the actual roof.
The main sanctuary will be built on main floor as a multi-purpose facility which will be used for our Worship events as well as lectures and a gym.
The gym will be used by our residents as well as serving our local community as a community center.
In the basement we will house our dining hall for the whole ranch and the Church fellowship hall.

Mission Statement
At Hope Retreat Recovery Center, we provide a Christ Centered resident recovery program & outpatient program to local clients, client-centered, culturally competent, holistic treatment utilizing evidenced based practices in order to address an individual’s addiction. At present we are averaging an 80% success with our resident program. We recognize that addiction is a disease - chronic and progressive – which deeply impacts not only the addict but the entire family system as well. We strive to guide each individual, including their family, throughout the recovery process with the goal of living life to its full potential - free from addiction & free of their diagnosed mental illness.
The lotus flower’s characteristics are a perfect analogy for recovery: growing from dirty and murky water, it eventually reaches the surface and with the sun, becomes a beautiful flower. We all come from somewhere and without our past – we wouldn’t be who we are today. Recovery can be your sun (A metaphor for the Son of God),– and will help you aspire and grow to your full potential!
It is the mission of HOPE RETREAT @ THE RANCH to provide a safe, therapeutic environment offering the latest in evidence-based clinical care for our patients and their families. We believe that addiction is a chronic disease and that in order to support best recovery outcomes, addiction must be treated in a long-term continuum of care that addresses not just the symptoms of substance use disorder but the underlying causes, conditions, behaviors, attitudes, values, family dynamics and purpose and direction of each individual. We believe that it is our mission to be a community-based healthcare organization that offers the highest quality in direct Faith based services but also aids those suffering from addiction and dual diagnosis issues nationwide by providing Faith based-appropriate resources and referrals, community support and educational and preventative platforms to further the understanding that addiction is a public health issue and the stigma of addiction and mental health must be broken. Hope Retreat Recovery's purpose is to help directly and indirectly those individuals, families and communities suffering from addiction in whatever is necessary to support sustainable, long-term recovery and allows our residents the opportunity to achieve a purpose-driven, high quality of life.
