Our hearts and prayers go out to all the families and friends of those who have lost loved ones to COVID-19. It is truly a worldwide tragedy. Lord, provide Your abundant grace to flow, we pray. You have promised to work all things out for good, so we trust You for this (Rom. 8:28).

A Paid Sabbatical in the Comfort and Safety of Your Own Home!

There is one silver lining in this terrible mess: The government has come into agreement with God and asked us all to isolate by staying in the safety of our own homes. They are even paying us not to work for the next 10 weeks. As of today, all small businesses and churches and ministries and independent contractors can go to their local bank's website and complete an application to receive eight weeks' salary plus expenses for yourself and your staff. In addition, there are $1200 checks being sent out within two weeks to each of us. Truly unheard of in my lifetime.

So the bottom line is, I can stay safe at home, get paid a salary, and spend the next month or so having a wonderful sabbatical with the Lord. What an amazing gift to each of us.

God has also given me a spiritual project to focus on for this month and I am eagerly pursuing it now. The Bible says "Redeem the time..." (Eph. 5:16).

Let each of us make this month count for the Kingdom. I am thrilled that we are able to send free Spirit-anointed training into thousands of homes each month. These individuals reside in over 100 nations! It is truly an amazing world we live in. This has never been available in any previous generation. We live in the best of times. Let us never forget to "give thanks in everything" (1 Thess. 5:18).

As we look back on 2019 & begin our second year accepting residents at Hope Retreat Recovery Ranch in Sneedville Tennessee, it is a important thing to look back at our successes of 2019!

2019 Hope Retreat Recovery Ranch Served 31 Recovery Residents

Hope Retreat Served 25 Homeless Individuals from the Mountains

Hope Retreat Served better than 36,105 Meals @ $2.56 each = $92,428.80

42 Individuals Surrendered their lives to the Lordship of CHRIST and received SALVATION

The Maxwell Family Trust Contributed to HOPE RETREAT OF THE SOUTH

$ 70,950 towards Work Scholarships for those who could not afford the tuition for the "Recovery Program"

***** 100 % OF THOSE RESIDENTS ACCEPTED ONTO OUR RECOVERY PROGRAM AND COMMITTED TO FULFILLING THEIR COMMITMENT TO RECOVERY COMPLETED THEIR COMMITTED TIME PROGRAM or Graduated the Recovery Program!!!

Completion of the time a resident committed to the Program = completion of the program but counselor has not agreed with the resident that the resident is indeed ready to move on.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE!!!!!

LARGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GRADUATION FROM OUR RECOVERY PROGRAM & FULLFILLING THE COMPLETION OF AN INDIVIDUAL’S TIME COMMITMENT TO THE RECOVERY PROGRAM!!!

Graduation from Program = Both Resident and the resident’s counselor agree that the resident is ready to move on.

Completion of the time a resident committed to the Program = completion of the program but counselor has not agreed with the resident that the resident is indeed ready to move on.

Either way, we can not yet consider any of these residents who have completed the recovery program as a part of our 20 - year maintaining better than an 80% success ratio due to our definition of success. Our definition of success is that our resident not only completes our recovery program but also maintains two years sobriety, plus 2 years in gainful employment & 2 years involved in a good Church Home! We will not be able to consider any of our residents in 2019 as a part of our 80% success ratio until about this time next year in the year 2021!
